"Back to Basics" Laundry Detergent

Ingredients

• 1 cup of Water

• ⅓ cup Borax

• ⅓ cup Washing Soda

• 4-5 drops Essential Oils

Directions

• Add ingredients to a bowl and mix well.

• Pour mixture over dirty laundry in the machine and start the cycle.

• Add ½ cup of white vinegar as a fabric softener.

Homemade Liquid Laundry Detergent

Ingredients

• 1 cup Water

• ½ cup Borax

• ½ cup Washing Soda

• ½ cup Baking Soda

• ½ cup Liquid Soap

Directions

• Add ingredients to a bowl and mix well.

• Transfer to a large glass dispenser or repurpose an old laundry detergent bottle.

Homemade Powder Laundry Detergent (Borax-Free)

Ingredients

• 5-6 cups Washing Soda

• 3 Bars of Coconut Oil Soap

Directions

• Chop or grate the bar of soap into small pieces

• Combine the soap bar pieces and washing soda in a large bowl, bucket, or container you plan to put the laundry detergent into.  

• Add about 2-3 tablespoons of this mixture to a load. Feel free to add 4-5 drops of essential oils directly into the water as it fills the machine (tip: lemon oil is an amazing degreaser!)
